ASPILSAN Energy, owned by the Turkish Armed Forces Foundation with a share of 98%, was established on 21 May 1981 in Kayseri Organized Industrial Zone on a total area of 16,000 m², which of 4,000 m² is closed area, with donations made by citizens of Kayseri. ASPİLSAN Energy, whose aim was to meet the needs of recharged nickel cadmium batteries, which is the basic needs of the Turkish Armed Forces, has achieved great improvements in the past period, and today, it has increased its product range to over 350, and has been able to produce all kinds of batteries for civilian and military radio handsets and defence system equipments, and has been able to produce complete batteries for aircraft and helicopters.

Turkey’s largest battery manufacturer ASPİLSAN Energy, as of today; has a total of 3 R&D centers: Battery Technologies and Electronic Systems R&D Center in Kayseri, Material and Electrochemical Battery Research and Development Center in Ankara and Hydrogen Technologies and Fuel Cells R&D center in Istanbul. In this respect, ASPİLSAN Energy continues its activities in the fields of expertise with its expert and dynamic staff who have adopted the R&D culture.

ASPİLSAN Energy has;

ISO 9001: 2015 Quality Certificate, Production Organization Approval (POA) and Alternative Design Organization Approval (ADOA) Certificates provided by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), AS9100 Certificate, which provides the status of being a global supplier in Civil Aviation and AQAP Certificate which was awarded by the Ministry of National Defense, certifying to produce at compliance with NATO standards.
